[comp.sys.amiga.tech] Need networking info

Hello there. I'm soon going to be looking at networking options for Amigas,
both with other Amigae and with other machines, namely Macs and Unix boxes.
If anyone has any experience with any such stuff, (hardware or software),
I'd be very interested in hearing how well it has worked out for you. (All
the details of how well it works and what you think of it's design are *very*
welcome!)

Of particular interest to me are the following:

- implementations of Appletalk for the Amiga

- implementations of TCP/IP for the Amiga (using any available ports)

- keen user-level software, such as mailers, printer servers, X servers, chat
  programs, etc

My goals are generally:

Our Amigas on this campus are pretty much unique. They live in a world of
Macintoshes, 4.3 BSD Unix, Suns, MS-DOS, and a potential campus-wide TCP/IP
network. Connectivity is important to me, and the more transparent and rugged
it is, the better. I'd like for the Amigas to be able to join the networks,
and access remote file systems, printers, mail systems, and maybe even the
News :-)
