[comp.sys.amiga.tech] Amiga Hardware/Software Developers discounts?

milo@ndmath.UUCP (Greg Corson) (05/02/89)

Does anyone out there know if Commodore still offers a Discount on hardware
software and documentation to Amiga software developers?

I'm just finishing up a new game for the Mac and am getting ready to port it
to the Amiga...I need to buy the whole developers kit, hardware, software
documents and all for the Amiga. For a 2500 system with hard drive & stuff
this totaled over $5000....a discount would sure help.

I know there used to be a developers discount for the Amiga, but is it still
around?

Yes, they do. Contact Lauren Brown at CATS.

CATS offers hardware discounts to all members of the developer support
programs. While actual cost is confidential, the cost is based on
our standard dealer pricing, with an averaged shipping fee on top.
The ability to purchased hardware is based on the available inventory
within the U.S.A.

The technical information sold through CATS is priced the same to
all buyers. No developer discount is available. The Rom Kernel Manuals
should be purchased at your local bookstore or Amiga dealer, as they
are not available through CATS.

Note: This information is valid ONLY for developers located in the U.S.A.
Developers in other countries should contact their local C.B.M.
      sales company.
