limonce@pilot.njin.net (Tom Limoncelli) (05/28/89)
I'm developing a program that will automatically set up partitions for
a SCSI hard disk (well, it will tell you what the mountlist should
contain, etc.) and I want to handle reserving the needed blocks for
autobooting into a FFS partition. My manuals aren't up to date
(because I haven't ordered the new GVP boot-roms yet).
What needs to be done? Can I just add some value to the "Reserved="
line or do I have to start the first partition after a certain number
of blocks? Is this "certain number of blocks" different for different
brands of controllers?
Thanks in advance,
Tom
