To begin with, i have not been following the discussions in this news group. So, please bear with me -- as my request is likely to be one which has seen a fair amount of net bandwidth already. Inspiration and a bit of free time have led me to consider working on a pet project of mine. However, it has been some time now (about two years, actually) since i have done any programming on the Amiga. Since i plan to upgrade my software development environment for this project, i began to wonder, "Which of the C language packages has been widely accepted as the BEST environment for development for the Amiga?" I would greatly appreciate comments and testimonies/criticisms concerning any and all such development packages under C for the Amiga. Joel Rives

Lattice is real slow and clunky, but it does have the most features and generates the fastest code. With the global optimizer, you can make code as small as MANX code. The new version of MANX, which is invisible, will probaby beat Lattice. Call the Bug Eyes BBS at (213) 372-4494 ddave@pnet02.CTS.COM killer!gryphon!pnet02!ddave
