[net.music] Song title and artist query

I have heard this song quite often recently on a local
rock station (92.3 K-Rock, for you New York area readers),
but have not been able to catch either the
title or the artist. The chorus is sung in a falsetto, with
the parenthesized words an echo (sort of):

	This is a letter (letter), a letter to both sides
	Stuck in the middle (middle), the middle of dah-dah-dah
						         |
						    <something>
