I'm trying to add a SCSI drive to my A2500 - Quantum 105S. I defined 3 partitions in the mountlist all of which MOUNT OK. However, only the partitions that add up to around 50MB or so show up with the INFO command (FH2: and FH3: in this case). If I try to FORMAT the FH3: partition (which mounted but didn't show up in INFO) I get: format failed can't find handler The mountlist entries are identical for each partition except for the LowCyl and HighCyl entries and I copied these entries from the FH0: and FH1: entries already in there. FORMAT bombs on large cylinder spans (400-500?) unless I use the QUICK option. I tried defining 5 partitions which totaled up to less than 50MB total and they all came up and formatted ok. This drive uses zoned bit recording and so returns 0 (ZERO) sectors/track in mode_sense page 3. Does the A2090a use this information? I've heard that the old file system had a partition size limit, but I'm definetly using the FFS here (DiskPerf assures me of that :-). Any ideas as to what's going on here? John
