This may seem like a dumb question, but is it possible to have two or more "BACKDROP" windows in a single Intuition screen which can be depth arranged normally otherwise? I had always assumed it was OK, but when I tried it, the system crashed to KickStart when I attempted to open the second one. I took the BACKDROP flag out of the NewWindow structure for the second call, and re-compiled. Then the program worked fine. The reason I want the windows to be BACKDROP windows is so that the title bar will always be visible or not. I had always assumed it was OK, because I had never read anything to the contrary, and consulting the manuals turned up nothing either. What's the story? j.h.
