I am interested in purchasing a personal computer for my children (ages 5,6, and 9) that will run Logo. I feel that Logo is a better language than Basic for learning how to program the computer. I want to do this for as little cost as possible. I do not intend to use the computer myself, as I already have a personal computer, and I want to purchase the lowest cost system possible. The Apple with Logo is way too expensive. It appears that a TI system with Logo runs a bit more than $800 (correct me if wrong). Radio Shack will be introducing a Color Computer Logo that would come in at a little less than $400. Does anybody know of any other alternatives -- VIC-20? ATARI 400? -- that will be offering (or are now offering) Logo? Also, does anybody feel that Logo is not the best language to teach children? Please respond directly to me.
