It is *not* true that a stock Amiga cannot be used to do any job any other computer can do. Let's get this straight right now. However, it is also true that the stock Amiga can be quickly and easily upgraded into a very friendly and easy to use machine with PD and commercial software, with more ram and with more hardware. There are those who are unhappy with the stock Amiga. They feel many of the utilities available from third parties should come standard with the machine. And these feelings are shared by the large number of programmers who create those utilities and the large number of users who utilize them (like me! :> ). So lets avoid name-calling and loaded words. You got a gripe, send it out as a flame. You got a suggestion or a question or a report or some news then put it here. And you can always send email to CATS. Dana

Let's get this straight right now. The stock Amiga has strikingly limited command-line functionality when compared to a Unix system. To a large degree, that CAN be remedied, yes. Not always a "quick and easy" proposition, but certainly doable. Dana> Dana -- Deven T.
