[net.micro] Mouse Info Wanted

3216jld (01/07/83)

Does anyone out there know the names, addresses, and/or phone numbers of
companies which supply a multi-button (2-4 buttons) mouse (the pointing
device)? I would also appreciate any specs and/or price info on the
products.

I tried to send this direct to the person who wanted mouse info and couldn't
get through. But perhaps other people on Info-Micro are interested. The
following are summaries of some mouse messages that appeared in the
Workstations (WorkS) discussion list. Some info may be out of date. I didn't
clear this with the original senders, so please blame me for any errors.

PS - I want the Mouse Systems optical mouse!

I just got literature from a company called Random Access
Inc. (246 Highland Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15235, 412-247-7472) on
an interface/mouse combination for a Hawley Mouse (three button)
+ a parallel or serial decoder/interface for $650. The product
is clearly personal-computer oriented since the two versions of
the parallel interface are interface cards for the Apple II and
IBM PC. The serial interface claims to be RS232C standard (sic).

I noted that the address given for Mouse Systems in Sunnyvale
is 655 S Fair Oaks.

I would watch out for this. This used to be my address. It is
an appartment complex so they can't be very big.
