I remember a while ago ( years? ) there was a small article posted to the
net about hooking up Commodores long persistence green monitor to the Amiga
( 1000 ).
Now I can't find it and am wondering if anyone out there knows were it might
be located. I want to hook one up ....

Hello,
If you are talking about hooking the 1901 mono monitor to the
Amiga with grey scales, I am the one who developed a system here in
Toronto. The reason I am not sure if you are talking to me is that I
know someone else post a tech note a year or two before me, and
HyperTech in B.C. also sells such an interface.
First, if you just get the LAST AmNews published in Canada (sorry
I don't remember the number) you will find my article there plus BigScreen
and MoreRows programs. If you can't get that then I will see about
posting the article back to UseNet. (It was done by someone else last
time with my premission.)
Second, do you have a monitor? If not I am willing to sell my
old style 1901 monitor for $50. I am working on a new circuit that needs a
colour monitor. If you have a monitor is it a 1901 from Commodore? I
only know how to get the standard 3 grey shades on non-Commodore
monitors as gettting the full range of greys requires that you open your
monitor and change the circuit. If it is non-Commodore and you have
circuit diagrams and you know electronics I could tell you how to figure
out the mods to the monitor.
Old Style 1901s : Power switch on front. Green screen.
New Style 1901s : Power switch on back. White screen.
