I have a problem with my Z-80 softcard. It works fine in the 44K mode but hangs-up in the 56K mode (right after the cold boot mesg). I have done the following: 1) Tried 3 other 16K ram cards (no difference). 2) Tried another softcard in my Apple (no difference). 3) Used my softcard in another Apple (56K worked fine). 4) Bypassed the power supply and used lab supplies rated at 5v 10a, -5v 3a, 12v 10a, -12v 10a (no difference). 5) Ran diagnostics on my Apple (everything worked). 6) Called Microsoft, and replaced the I.C.'s that they said to with new ones (no difference). 7) Unplugged all cards except softcard, ram card, and disk controller card (no difference). 8) Checked the crystal frequency (within spec.). If anyone can help me, or suggest anything else to try, please mail the suggestion to me. Thanks, Dick (rpk)
