Gee, where were all of these people who have it working properly when I was asking about it on the net a few months ago :-) Two clarifications: 1) I did use the 2000 keyboard with the 500, so I did have it working. I decided to put the old keyboard back when the secretary using it complained about the frequent Guru's she was experiencing (though they were probably not directly related). 2) The reason that I don't recomend bothering with it isn't because it is particularly difficult, but because you won't have the three-fingered reset available (important to programmers :-) and because by the time you've bought a 2000 keyboard the difference in price between a 500 and a 2000 is small enough to justify buying the 2000 for the case/power supply/slots, and because if you want power and drive leds, the project really is a pain. I did not mean to say that it is not possible to do -- just not worth it to me. -- A lack of prior planning on the part of any programmer always constitutes an emergency.
