I am having MAJOR problems with my Amy 1000 as of late. Here are the symptoms: The internal drive while writing will flicker incessantly like what you would expect of a hard disk. The external drive does fine. The internal drive will generate read/write errors while doing its flickering writing to the disk. I have had a new internal drive put into my Amy this Friday, and the flickering has not gone away. It is only occasional, though, and it will read disks fine, just when writing it seems to like to kill disks. Question: What could be causing my problems? It is obviously some chip problem. But, it must only affect writing to the internal drive, leaving the external drive alone. Any answers. I'm going to the local repair shop *again* on Monday, but I'd like to be armed with an "informed guess" to tell them. ---Prem Subrahmanyam
