Well, thanks you for all your replies (mainly personal
mail, I've been hard pressed to keep up!). I think I've come
to a decision.
I think all the stuff already out there will remain Freeware
and I will find a brand new project to go commercial with, which
effectively pushes it way into the future.
So, things like DME, DMouse, DNet, etc... stay Freeware.
(But you can still send me money if you appreciate the software!)
I've received nearly a hundred email replies and they've really
put the whole thing into perspective for me, which is what my
original message was all about... investigating available options.
I must say that I am somewhat overwhelmed by the responses!
I'm currently working with William Loftus on the next UUCP
release... he will remain the central distribution point though
as soon as we agree on 'the' distribution people who've already
mailed me disks will get the dist from me.
