I have heard of a new program called DiskAnim. Supposedly it will play animations of several different formats, and will let you chain animations together. It is also supposed to play animations MUCH larger than your available ram, because it loads/plays the animations simultaneously, reducing RAM overhead. Supposedly, you could play continous animations as large as your available hard disk space.
