[comp.sys.amiga.tech] REPLACEMENT MOTHERBOARD FOR AMIGA 1000

BAXTER_A@wehi.dn.mu.oz (11/08/89)

I met this bloke in the car lot this morning who said for one hundred bucks, he
could build me a genuine MGB, all new parts, spay paint it Brittish Racing
Green (my choice) and monogram the doors in gold paint. I could then drive it
for 8 years, and if I liked it, I could keep it and pay only $4000. If I
decided after 8 years I didn't like it, I would have to give it back, and I
would forfeight my deposit. The only thing was, I had to give him the money
this morning, or at least before the TAB closes bets on the Melbourne Cup.

For Christ sake!! If you haven't seen this sort of blatent thievery before, you
were born yesterday. Jim and Tammy have moved into computers. That's all.
Regards Alan

I think you are being a little hard on the proponent, after all, he has
already done some successfull commercial products ( we have some here ).
Whether the price is achievable remains to be seen, but it doesn't sound
too far out if there is enough volume.
