[comp.sys.amiga.tech] Lattice/Manx functions...

The C Notes for the C Group column in Amazing Computing has been interesting
for me, a novice C programmer. The only problem is that the author, Stephen
Kemp, is using a function specific to manx, namely scdir(). You pass it a
string, including wildcards, and it does a directory search and returns the
file pointer of the first file that fits the pattern. I've been through the
Lattice documentation, and I haven't found anything that matches this. I'd
appreciate either the name of the function, or a work-around, cause this is
driving me crazy!

You want getfnl (in 5, I don't think it was in 4). However, it's
diffent enough from your description of scdir that you'll probably
want to write scdir based on it, rather than modifing code using scdir
to use getfnl. Fortunately, there's an example in the manual that
should do exactly what you want with minor mods.
