Last week (10th Nov 89) I bought an Amiga 2000 with 20Meg PC hard disk and 8088 bridge board.. The machine is totally brill. BUT.... When switched on from cold, the hard disk locks solid with the access light on continuously. I can boot the MS DOS from floppy without any problems, but not from the hard disk. It does this repeatedly on reboot until it has been on for about 20 - 30 minutes. After this time the hard disk works fine and I can reboot from it without trouble. Has anyone else seen this ?? is it the hadware i.e. PSU, Hard Disk etc Or have I not set something up correctly. I am booting to a disk made with BBINstall on the suppied flopppy. I have been in touch with Commodore who say that it is a hardware problem and I should return the machine for a fix. Any ideas ??
