Suppose I get the new chip set for my Amiga 500. What will happen to my A501? Will I need it anymore? Can it be used for an additional 512k? How about a monitor? If I get the ECS, will I be able to use a multiscanning monitor with my Amiga 500? Thanks in advance for the info! I will summarize and post! Your fellow Amigan, Prasad

Your additiona 512K of mem will become useful chip memory with the
addition of the new Agnus.

You can already use a multi-scanning monitor with your A500, it just
won't make use of the "faster" modes.
With the further addition of the new Denise, there will be at least
one useful mode that kicks the muti-sync monitor into "fast mode"
(31KHz horizontal sweep freq.).
