Does anyone know where I could purchase commodore amiga custom ICs?. In particular the 8520 I/O,timer chip. My local commodore dealer refuses to help me on this matter. Thanks.

If you check any old (or new :-) Computer Shopper, you're sure to find an ad for Kasara Systems, who stock ALL amiga custom chips (that I'm aware of). I took out an 8520 in my 1000 a while back, and these folks got me a replacement in a jiffy. They even sold me a second (spare) at half-price. I recommend them. I can get you their phone number if you give me some time to find it... +--------------------------------+--------------------------------------------+ | Jeff Bevis | "But I don't like spam!" | | bevis@en.ecn.purdue.edu | Give me Amiga or nothing at all. | +--------------------------------+--------------------------------------------+

:Thanks.
I had good luck buying my 8520 directly from CBM in Westchester (hey that's a
novel idea, go right to the source ;-). Really, I got mine for around $23.XX
and that included shipping. I let them know I needed it quick because I was
about to use it for a demo. I got mine in under 14 days.
Oh yes, dump your dealer if they refuse to help. They DO understand economic
based reactions.
