I just wanted to second my vote for a LUCAS/FRANCES update list. I am
currently in the process of deciding if I want to upgrade my A1000 via
the "hacker route" (e.g. LUCAS/FRANCES, Rejuvinator, etc) or simply
wait for the A3000 to come out.

I've seen so many messages of the type "well, I connected a resistor
to U4 and swapped U9 with a LC component and it fixed the bug in the
original design". I would like to know if all this stuff is being
archived somewhere so that if *I* wanted to build one, I wouldn't have
to get a degree in electrical engineering to rediscover these fixes
and modifications. I'm a software person that happens to be able to
handle a soldering iron, not somebody who designs these things for a
living.

When I received my LUCAS kit (many months ago) it came with a disk
that was completely filled with text files. There was a schematic
file and net list, detailed instructions, and all bug fixes that
had currently been tried, as well as various mods. The files
explained the purpose of each mod and how effective it was.

By now I imagine that the files must be rather large. But the data
that comes with the kit is very thorough.
