[net.music] ELP reforming?

johnnyr@ihu1m.UUCP (Miss Anne Elk) (08/13/85)

Welcome back my friends to the net that never ends...

A few months ago somebody posted an article saying that
Emerson, Lake, and somebody else (not Palmer) were forming a group.
Has anyone else heard anything further about this, or
was it just a hopeful dream?

The new 'P' in ELP is Cozzy Powell - and it's not a rumor. I heard it a
few times from several sources. It probably won't be 'till the end of
the year until we see anything from it, if we ever do. Even if they did
reform, that doesn't mean they'll actually go through with it in the
end.... But I shure hope it does happen!!

and endless compromises shatter the illusion of integrity..."

I have heard the same rumor...and in fact the reformed ELP are
supposedlyrehearsing in the U.K. (or the Bahamas) right now...

I heard that they were reforming as well, but with someone named Powell on
drums. That was about 2 months ago. I have heard nothing since that time.

You know what I hate more than anything? Indian givers. No, I take that back.
