[comp.sys.amiga.tech] Renaming comp.sys.amiga.tech

jms@doctor.Tymnet.COM (Joe Smith) (12/31/89)

Hey, guys and gals, did you know they are talking about removing the
comp.sys.amiga.tech newsgroup?

Now that I've got your attention, I should put that comment in context.
It was part of "since the net news software does not have a 'rename group'
control message, it would have to be done as a rmgroup of c.s.a.t and
a newgroup of comp.sys.amiga.programmer".

The original charter for c.s.a.t was not well defined. People posting to
news.groups are recommending that once c.s.a.hardware is created, the
name of this group should be changed to c.s.a.programmer. (This name
would fit in well with naming hierarchy, following the precedent set
by c.s.m.programmer.)

This message is just a reminder to check out the discussion in news.groups,
notice that followups are directed there.
