I am currently experiencing two problems with a used amiga 2000 I recently purchased. First of all, The 'L' key is acting unusual, in that it will strike when hit squarely, but will often not strike while touch typing. Is there any way to replace the key contact; clean the contact (I.E. remove the keycap and spray tuner cleaner-guard into the contact casing); or will The keyboard need replacing (and where do I turn for an inexpensive replace- ment? Secondly, My on-screen clock has been running VERY fast. (3 to 4 times real time). I have narrowed the problem down to hardware problems. However, I want to be sure that my supposition is correct. If the problem were a fast clock tick from the Agnes chip, there would be more symptoms than just the clock. Therefore, I am assuming that the problem is a CIA chip going bad. If this is the case, which of the two CIAs is used for time clock functions (eg. read by qmouse or screenx)? Please send Email to me for the answers, rather than posting. -Mark Henning Email: henning@stolaf.edu Note: Champagne Urbana has just installed a new line between themselves and the university of Minnesota, but their routing software is not yet fixed to the change. Please continue to retry to mail, for it should eventually get through.
