I read with interest the article that said that the Lisa runs the 68000 at a less-than-maximum speed partly in order to avoid having a fan and its accompanying noise. This is the first indication I've seen that any manufacturer was concerned about the noise of a fan in a product. Over the past few years, as terminals have become smarter, I've seen more and more of them sporting fans, and the fans that are used get noisier and noisier (well, comparatively). Anybody but me bothered by fan noise? Guess you'd better reply by mail about this one, for now... -- Kenn (decvax!)goutal
