The problem is it does not work well (at all) with my Kronos hard drive
controller. I just purchased an ASDG multi port serial card, and am trying
to ru it and the Kronos off a A2000 with 1 meg chip and 2 megs fast ram, of
course I also have 1.3 roms. The symptoms of the problem: while using the
multi-port and trying to access the hard drive the machine stays in suspended
animation, the modem still recieves information as I cna tell by a remote
machine (three feet away and using JRcomm to Jrcomm and Jrcomm to BBS-PC!
over phone lines at 2400) The remote machine feels noting is wrong as it
continues sending the remainder of an 80k file with the other machine hung at
26k. The hard drive indicator lights stay lit, both on the hard drive and
from the controller. The hard drive is a 236 meg Maxtor if that helps.
I have written to Perry K. and have gotten no response so I will try to
tap the wizardry of the net. I also plan to call ASDG Monday, but I won't
be calling C-Ltd. :-(
The mother board revision is 4.3.
And the machine is not totally gone, I can toggle between screens (Amiga
N & Amiga M) and the pointer moves, but nothing else works. I can't type in
a CLI screen.
