The cursor color is always NOT the colour it is appearing over. So, if you have a sixteen colour screen, and you have colour one text on a colour zero background, then the cursor will be colour thirty (~1) foreground on colour thirty-one (~0) background. So, to change the colour of the cursor, you have to change the colour of the background and the text, mostly the background. There are escape sequences for changing those colours. You can also specify, in the newscreen or newwindow field what colours you want for foreground and background. .Bruce.

I'm using console.device, and can't find an escape sequence to change the color of the cursor (it always seems to be the last entry in the colormap). Does anyone know how to point it to another colormap entry? For that matter, is there any way to bring up screens without the background/foreground having to be at location 0/1? Thanks. --Greg
