[comp.sys.amiga.tech] GOMF 3.0 and the A2500/30

bear@bu-pub.bu.edu (Blair M. Burtan) (02/07/90)

Does anyone know if GOMF 3.0 is fully functional on a 2630 system.
When I run it, it comes up saying it's running on a 68020/68881
system. I'm actually running a 68030/68882 system.

From a software standpoint there is
little to distinguish between a 68030
and a 68020/68851 combo, except for
a few memory managment commands and
	suchlike. I'm sure GOMF doesn't
	concern itself about such things.
I don't think AmigaDos knows the
	difference either...

GOMF is merely passing on what the OS told it. The 1.3 doesn't make checks for
68030 or 68882. However, that's not a big deal, the 68030 treated like a 68020
or 68882 treated like a 68881 work just fine in an Amiga system.
