[comp.sys.amiga.tech] GNU ports...

UK4H@DKAUNI2.BITNET ("JAE ", Juergen A. Erhard) (02/15/90)

Hi folks,

this one's related to Harald Fricke's msg of Feb 12th.
He asked:
> have several deficiencies. Is there a GNU make?
Now I wonder how much of that GNU stuff was ported to Amiga so far.
Can some kind soul out there tell me (or us, 'cause this might be d.
of general interest)?

I'm particularly interested in gcc (who's not?).

On second thought, here's something for Raymond (Brand) and Rick
(can't recall last name...), the guys who ported the RCS (hope they
read it):
THANKS!!!
BUT: one thing I'd like to have is an option for co that affects the
keyword replacing. It would be good if it would replace
$Revision$ with 1.2 (or whatever) ONLY, not with $Rev... (you
know that). For compiling, of course. Got the point? Hope so.
Have something more, but can't remember...

                                          -jae

DISCLAIMER: none, I don't speak legalese.

and I think it has been ported I am using some random make that came with
a PD C compiler it was the only one I could find that would read and
understand GCC's makefiles.

BTW can any one send me the MAN files from sun 3 c compiler? I am having the
devils own time re-writing some of these functions on the Amiga. I don't
even know what some of them DO!
