It seems like there are no good drivers for the Star LC24 (or Epson LQ-800),
so I'm seriously considering writing one myself. If someone could mail me
the source code to one or two version 1.3 drivers, like EpsonQ/X/NEC_Pinw.,
he (or she) whould have my eternal gratitude, as well as a copy of the
finished driver.

Would it be ok for a driver to use environment variables?
Things like the 16-pin option in the EpsonQ-driver would
be better off in ENV:, no?
