I have a project in mind for the amiga and would like to make it fully intuition compatible, as well as program it with the minmum amount of effort. The current idea is to implement it with the external hardware hooked up to the second mouseport. The question is, is intuition capable of taking in the equivilent of about 2500 mouse button press/release events per second and creating that many IDCMP messages? I hope so, but my common sense says that it can't. I would like to use this method because the arrival time is stamped in along with the event and I wish to measure the period between button clicks. The external hardware would simulate a button closure as the means of input. Does anybody out there know how many sustained events Intuition can handle before having problems? -dave
