Okay, okay. This has been discussed before. But the volume of c.s.a and .t got so big, I can't keep up with it anymore, so I'm hoping for an answer direct. I'm trying to write a program (surprise). I want to read the keyboard (another surprise). I want other people to be able to run it. What *is* the definitive method for doing this? VANILLAKEYS won't work 'cause it doesn't translate function keys, arrows, etc. Someone posted a file called "keyboard.c" that opens the console device and queries that for translations, but it just sits there and smiles at me when I run it. Does someone out there have something that works, preferrably under Manx? I mean, everyone who is a serious Amiga programmer has to do this. I really don't want to slowly rewrite this wheel. -Joe -- UUCP: rutgers!dayton!joe (Picts 1-16 are DHDSC - Joe Larson/MIS 1060 ATT : (612) 375-3537 now ready.) 700 on the Mall, Mpls, Mn. 55402
