I am an Amiga 2000HD owner working on a college project using HyperCard on the Mac to teach illiterate adults to read using sampled sounds/graphics. The only sound digitizing hardware available to us is the Perfect Sound unit on my 2000HD, so I need a program that can convert sounds from the Amiga's 8SVX format (?) to Macintosh format. I've tried Macsound2Amy, and AmigaBASIC program, but that only converts from Mac to Amiga (so it's no good). I also tried SoundConverter, a program that supposedly converts from Amiga sounds to Mac sounds an back. Converting from Mac to my Amiga is fine, but when I try to convert from an Amiga sound to a Macintosh sound with the program, the Mac sound comes out as garbage with a barely recognizable sample. So... does anyone out there know of any other program, either on the Macintosh or Amiga, that converts from Amiga sampled sounds (sampled with Perfect Sound - the old version of the software) to Macintosh format sounds? This program is needed desperately if our project group is ever to finish this piece of software, so all help is appreciated. Please mail all replies my internet address below (jdutka@wpi.wpi.edu) or post it here ONLY IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. If anyone at Commodore-Amiga could answer this question, or has a program like this lying around somewhere, I'd be forever indebted to them for any reply to this letter... -- | husc6!m2c!wpi!jdutka | "Hey, baby - wanna do some HEAT TRANSFER? | | jdutka@wpi.wpi.edu | Heh, heh, heh!" | | jdutka@wpi.bitnet | -Mechanical Engineers On The Prowl | | John Dutka _________|_____________________________________________________|
