line-eater fodder. Would anyone out there in net land be willing to post a list of the changes to the libraries in WB 2.0? I've seen my dealer's new A3000, poked around with the new WorkBench, checked out the manual, etc., but I haven't yet seen anything that details the internal changes. Some example questions: Is there now resource tracking? Automatic detection of a 68881/68882? Is there still such a difference in being started up by the workbench as opposed to the cli? What exactly happened to the dos.library? How about it? We could wait for the new RKMs, but if anyone is already in the know. . . . Thanks in advance! -eric hopp hopp@stolaf.edu

Get a long directory, then make the window small - and large again. Notice how the text reformats itself? > What exactly happened to the dos.library? It has been completely rewritten in C. The old BCPL function interface is still there for backward compatibility. Valentin -- The Goddess of democracy? I'm not "In the know" but as far as I can gather... In article <101@nic.acc.stolaf.edu> hopp@thor.acc.stolaf.edu () writes: > > Is there now resource tracking? Doubt it. Almost certainly, though the WB supports the notion of automatically launched applications, and allows programs to create icons/menu options that appear to be part of WB. > What exactly happened to the dos.library? Completely re-written in C, and with loads of new functions such as symbolic links (multiple directory appearances of the same file) and "notification" i.e. applications can be notified of changes being made to a file/directory, allowing automatic preference updates by programs, and file-requester updates (for example.) > >How about it?
