I just received a phone call from Rick Booth of Children's Television Workshop (they do Sesame St). He's trying to track down cross assemblers and compilers that run under UNIX and generate code for every flavor of home computer imagineable (6502, Z80, etc). He's heard (and so have I) that there are lots of these things kicking around, but doesn't have any specifics. If you have such a beast or know where to get one, would you please call him at (212) 595-3456. I'll also forward any replies I get to him. (I wonder if there is a central repository for such things already established? I don't have a home computer, so I haven't been following this area very closely at all.) Mark

I have a UNIX cross assembler for the ECD Micromind (remember their ads in the back of BYTE?), which is 6502 based. ECD had a wierd mnemonic set, but anyone interested in it can send me a message. John Woods, ...!decvax!genradbo!mitccc!jfw
