If you want the best text editor you'll have to buy it. You won't regret it,
either. CygnusEd Professional 2.0 is by far the ONLY editor to use for writing
C code. It has all the features you mentioned plus so many more I could write a
book. And there has recently been a maintenance upgrade to v2.11 and Bruce
Dawson (the author) has fixed bugs in that upgrade that most people haven't
even found yet! Now that's standing behind a product! I'll pay anybody
$150.00(Canadian) for support like that.

I am looking for recommendations for the best text editor for C
programming. I would like to have {} matching, easy cursor (with mouse
movement) searches, goto line #, etc.

What is everyone out there using for their C-Programming? Where can I
get it (PD is better, I'm cheap).

AZ, a PD editor released in AmigaLibDisk 346 is the ONE :
        -{},(),[] matching
-cursor movements, block definition w/mouse (and keyboard)
-multiwindow, reentrant (code loaded ONCE that drives as
        many window as you like)
        -fast and easy to learn
-good and complete doc (I wrote it)
-soon to be interfaced to AREXX

    give it a try..
