Hi. I would like to get everybody's opinion on frame buffers (that is, from those people who have them). Would those people who have frame buffers, please mail me responses to questions such as the ones below? I will post a summary if there is interest. I am interested in getting a frame buffer for doing ray tracing and other niceties. I'm torn between running two beautiful GUIs: X and AmigaDOS 2.0. Hey, if I get another monitor, I could run both simultaneously 8-) Perhaps when C= gets around to releasing their 32 bit board and device independent graphics I won't have to worry about such things. Questions: 1. Name 2. Resolutions supported 3. Ports: BNC, RCA, etc 4. Software available for it X-Windows? Ray tracing software? Libraries for programming it? etc 5. Expandable? 6. Speed 7. Bugs 8. Features 9. General comments Thanks, Ralph gilgalad@dip.eecs.umich.edu gilgalad@zip.eecs.umich.edu gilgalad@caen.engin.umich.edu Ralph_Seguin@ub.cc.umich.edu gilgalad@sparky.eecs.umich.edu USER6TUN@UMICHUB.BITNET Ralph Seguin | In order to get infinitely many monkeys to type 565 South Zeeb Rd. | something that actually makes sense, you need to Ann Arbor, MI 48103 | have infinitely many monkey editors as well.
