[comp.sys.amiga.tech] Where is that midi.device for Amiga??

loesch@lan.informatik.tu-muenchen.dbp.de (Carlo 'Lynx' v. Loesch) (06/08/90)

Aaarrgghh!
I can't find it!!
I'm supposed to write MIDI software and would happily avoid the
serial.device, so tell me where this camd.device is to be found
and what is the cmu midi toolkit about??
Is there anyone out there who writes MIDI stuff on the Amiga?
Well, I do have some working MIDI routines with the serial.device,
but should I use them?

It isn't there yet. Wait for 2.0 maybe. In the mean time Bill Barton's
midi.library which is shareware is an excellent alternative. There is
a midi.device which is part of the Music-X package but no documentation
on it's commands.

These opinions are my own and no one elses, but you knew that didn't you.
