I have a stock Amiga 2000 with an A2091 hard disk controller populated with 2 megs of ram and a Micropolis 1558 150 meg SCSI drive. The problem is that I will be doing disk access and get the "Disk DH0 has a read/write error" requestor. Clicking on Cancel or Retry makes no difference. After rebooting I get the insert disk screen and the hard drive is gone. Booting up the workbench floppy shows no harddrive. The only way I have found to get the drive back is to low-level format and re-install everyting from scratch. This has been very frustrating since it has happened 5 times in the past 3 days.I would appreciate any ideas anyone may have.
