[comp.sys.amiga.tech] M2 and RAM

wulfgar@shadow.UUCP (Wulfgar (Tribe of the Elk)) (08/23/90)

I have two questions for the tech. community at large:

1) I am designing a BBS system in Benchmark Modula-2, and I would like to have
it limit its I/O strictly to stdin/out, so it can be run from AUX: by UUCP
1.06d's Getty program. Sounds like it couldn't get much easier, but I need
to be able to read a single keystroke (not wait for user to press Return)
for hotkey functions, and the FileSystem module just doesn't allow this.
Any clever ideas? I'm using the InOut and Terminal modules, and I'd try
the AmigaDOS module, but I'm deeply confused by BPTRs and BSTRs and their
relationship to the world at large. I would use ARP, but there's no ARP
   module for Benchmark.

2) I heard about a cheap trick that knocks a 500 with an A501 up to 1.5 meg.
Could someone PLEASE mail this to me.

Thanks.
