[comp.sys.amiga.tech] DVI Previewer for the Amiga?

jansen@larry.sal.wisc.edu (Stephen Jansen) (08/20/90)

Does anyone know of a DVI previewer for the Amiga? I have looked around
and not found one. I have seen mention of a program called DVIAMIGA but
have not been able to find a copy. If you know where one can be found
please send mail to me since I dont always get an opportunity to read
NEWS.

Thanks!

AmigaTEX comes with a very good DVI previewer. IMHO it is well worth the
cost. (MeTAFONT & printer DVI drivers sold separately.)

Btw: Does anyone know a way to define ligatures on the fly (.vs. as a
part of the font.) I'd like to add a couple like '>=' for '{\ge}' or
' TeX ' for '{\TeX}'.

Have a look on my previewer 'ShowDVI'. It is also a really good previewer.
IMHO it is freely distributable. :-)

You can find it at faui43.informatik.uni-erlangen.de, directory /portal/amiga.
Another possibility: You get PasTeX.lzh from abcfd20.larc.nasa.gov, showdvi
and dviprint are included .

Hope that helps
