It's been a while since I've asked this question and I still haven't got an answer so I'll try again: My Amiga 1000 get random dots that appear on the screen when it scrolls or when a window is updated. It seems to be worse when it is humid out but I am not sure about this. Someone told me a couple years ago that the reason this occured was because my disk drive was not screwed in completely. I did this and had no problems for a while. Now it has come back worse. Every peripherial is on tight. I thought it might some bad memory, but I ran a memory check and it said everything was ok. Can anyone help????????? Dana S. Kaufman

It seems to be worse when it is humid out but I Did you try the ever popular push-all-socketed-IC's-in-tight thing ? ~Every six months my fang or one of the CIA's gets loose and somewhat strange things begin to happen. There was a note from Peter Kittel saying that there must have been _SOME_ cheap sockets in the line of production. I think he meant ever since 1986 :-( (NO FLAME, plain truth. Exchange some socketed IC sometime and see what I mean) -rasp -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- FRG--:...!tmpmbx!cj_net!trism!rasp || rasp@trism UUCP-:{uunet|pyramid|rutgers}!cbmvax!cbmehq!cbmger!trism!rasp Ralph Spitzner +49 30 215 42 01
