For some animation work I have to do , I need to make a new RastPort the
same size and depth etc as the rastport for a window I have. Now, the
question is ...
To make the new RastPort I need to make a new BitMap ... can I
just copy the entries of the old_rast->BitMap structure to the
new one , allocate new planes for the planeptr array and be
all set ? IOr does InitBitMap do something special ??

IOr does InitBitMap do something special ?? InitBitMap is fairly straightforward currently, but it may not be in the future. For maximum compatibility, I would encourage you to use it if possible. -- Randell Jesup, Keeper of AmigaDos, Commodore Engineering. {uunet|rutgers}!cbmvax!jesup, jesup@cbmvax.cbm.commodore.com BIX: rjesup Common phrase heard at Amiga Devcon '89: "It's in there!"
