Has anybody out there any experience or general info, how to connect a third-party SCSI-drive to my A2000? I have GVP Impact A2000-SCSI controller with 42Mb drive attached. The drive I am talking about is a 85MB ST-506-drive with a sort of interface that allows it to be connected to SCSI-port. It is certainly NOT manufactured for Amiga, but I have understood that SCSI-connectors are compatible with each other. Are they? Is there anything in Amiga that prevents me from attaching a 340Mb drive (or 825Mb, for that matter..)? Will I be able to format it? Do I need some special driver for it? These may seem silly questions, but I really don't have any info about such things... If you have some SOLID info, please email. -- o _ | The above-output string of ASCII-characters composted by: |### ##### | | toweri@clinet.FI -or: ...!mcvax!fuug!clinet!toweri | | | |- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |###_##### | | "Can't you see that I'm having a cup of coffee right now !? -- | | | -I will NOT comment ANYTHING !!!" -Harri Holkeri, the Finnish prime minister |
