[comp.sys.amiga.tech] Curses

sie@fulcrum.bt.co.uk (Simon Raybould) (03/22/90)

I have nearly finished writing a CURSES package for the amiga and was wondering
if anybody would like to try it to help iron out any bugs ??

The package is basically a header file 'curses.h' and a library 'libcurses'.
I may add some documentation if I feel in the mood.

After this stage, I will consider releasing it and the source into the Public
domain..

Cheers,

      Simon Raybould

Hello Mr. Simon Raybould.

As you see I would like to test your curses on my amiga 2000.
Normaly I'm using curses on a DDE Supermax, but it would be
nice to run my c program directly on the amiga.
So please send me the libcurses and the curses.h .
Do I need Latice C ???

PS . Do you know something about runnig UNIX on AMIGA 2000 /
          (68000-4MB / SCSI 48 MB / Dos 5 1/4 / Aztec C/ )

O.K. all you folks who said that you would like to check curses out, check
your mailbox i've sent it to everyone who in my opinion are in a position
to make a valid contribution to the improvement of this package.

Thanks for your help folks.

As those of you who are involved will know, I have V1.10 of my Amiga curses
package out for Beta testing, I have recieved no bugs, just suggestions for
further additions.

Now I am currently working on V1.20 which will be ready soon and will be
considerably faster than V1.10 especially in single character printing
i.e. putch() and the like.

So if any of the people who currently have any gripes or suggestions for
v1.20 then please say your piece to me via email

	send to : sie@fulcrum.bt.co.uk

I appreciate your time and effort on this.

P.S.
Thanks Mike Fischer for all your help.
You will be mentioned in the documentation of future releases.
