LDSHANER@MTUS5.BITNET (Leon D. Shaner) (10/13/90)
I am running uucico manually from a cli (tried stack sizes up to 80000) My entry in UULIB:L.Sys for the machine I'm pulling mail off of works great when I type uucico -sbalance It calls the number specified, logs in properly, picks up mail and sends mail from my machine, but after disconnecting from the remote host, UUCP starts to do it's processing, writes a bunch of stuff to the hard disk, and then the very instant that the CLI prompt comes back, I get a guru with power light flashing... What gives??? This is 1.06D with the uucico update found at abcdf20... The log file shows that all the connections went properly and that mail for my userid was received, and mail from my userid was sent, but DMAIL can't find it... My local userid is Leon and in UUMAIL: there is a file called Leon, which is empty... I think the whole process coughs when it tries to add to UUMAIL:Leon, saying that I have mail... Help PLEASE! I'm expecting the latest release of DIALOG Profesional (Beta) and would really like to take advantage of reading usenet newsgroups online... Thank you... +--------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ | LEON D. Did anyone remember to recompile this sucker with SAS/C? (Lattice) DICE (which was used to compile UUCP) is nice, but still has a few bugs which plague UUCP. -Joseph Hillenburg UUCP: ...iuvax!valnet!joseph ARPA: valnet!joseph@iuvax.cs.indiana.edu INET: joseph@valnet.UUCP
