Well I went to my local dealer today to get an A3000 using the educational discount, and when I (like an impatient father) expressed some concern over having to wait two or three weeks before getting it was told that a deal could be worked where I could get it sooner. I am interested in the 25Mz/100Mb version which just recently started coming with 5Megs of memory instead of 2Megs. But, he only has the "older" versions with 2Megs. The bottom line is after some RAM swapping, etc... I will end up with a machine with 5 or maybe 6 Megs of memory. This is all fine an dandy but do I really want one of the "older" A3000s? Have there been any motherboard revisions in the past month or so? Is there anything that I should be wary of concerning the purchase of one of the earlier version A3000s. I'm waiting to decide, hopefully based on responses from this post. So please if you know anything let me know. Thanks in advance... vervalin@austin.lockheed.com
