I have "yet another Amiga program request". I'd like to see someone write a new console device that includes PostScript support via the 2620 version of the post.library (from POST version 1.3, which is available on abcfd20.larc.nasa.gov). This shouldn't be too write (at least for experienced Amiga device programmers) because most of the necessary routines are right in the library. If such a new console device, with PostScript support, were written, it would essentially bring Display PostScript to the Amiga. Any programs that open the new 'postcon:' as its console device would be to have Display PostScript capabilities. There would be a problem with what would happen if ANSI codes were sent to the device, but this could be solved by (1) ignoring the ANSI codes or (2) supporting them as in the normal console devices. So, how's about it? Surely there has to be someone 'out there' who's up to a challenge, and who has plenty of time to waste! (Insert smilies liberally throughout this paragraph :-) -MB-
