This evening, when I turned on my Amiga 500, it GURUd. It was GURUing right after going through the color flash (selftest), but before the floppy drive started up. I'm using an Amiga 500 (with A501 Expansion RAM, 1.2 ROM), and removed my extra peripherals (everything 'cept Modem, printer, and mouse). And it still GURUd. I wrote down the number (3.00C01570)... it was GURUing with the same number each time. This happened about six times in a row. I then figured I'd try removing my A501 card, so I flipped my Amiga on it's side, gave one last try of turning it on on -- and this time it worked. I'm guessing something fell into place, but was wondering if the GURU gives any hint as to what should be checked/reseated. Any ideas? -Eli -- echarne@ics.uci.edu // \\ ``To understand recursion you echarne@uci.bitnet \\ // \\ // need to understand recursion.'' echarne@nrtc.northrop.com \X/ \X/ --Andrew Koenig, 2nd Usenix C++ conf.
